PediaMed launches text-messaging Rx compliance program

PediaMed launches text-messaging Rx compliance program

Pediatrics pharma PediaMed has launched a compliance program that uses text messages to remind teens to regularly apply their acne medication, Tazorac, the company reports. Teens can sign up for the program at the Web site 8TDaze.com by entering a promotional code that comes with a Tazorac sample from a doctor. Once users enter the code, they can opt-in to the program to receive text messages reminding them to continue with their treatment and offering free downloads, such as wallpaper, ringtones, and a $10 coupon for more choices of wallpaper and ringtones, according to the site. PediaMed partnered with mobile media company Virtu Mobile and healthcare ad firm Dudnyk to develop the program, according to the companies. Go to the Web site to learn more.
