Sanofi-Aventis using podcasts to promote cardiovascular health

Sanofi-Aventis using podcasts to promote cardiovascular health

Sanofi-Aventis, which makes the antiplatelet drug Plavix, has provided an educational grant to support a free podcast that encourages consumers to adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle. The World Heart Federation and the journal Nature Clinical Practice Cardiovascular Medicine created the podcast, which focuses on the theme "How Young is Your Heart?" to mark World Heart Day 2006. The podcast is available through two online sources, iTunes and the journal's Web site. It will feature original content delivered by top-cardiovascular physicians, including Dr. Sidney Smith, chair of the scientific advisory board of the World Heart Federation, and Dr. Valentin Fuster, president of the World Heart Federation and editor-in-chief of Nature Clinical Practice Cardiovascular Medicine. Read more about the podcast on the World Heart Day's Web site. <http://www.nature.com/ncpcardio/podcast/index.html>
